Jugatsu-zakura, the October cherry, is a Japanese cultivar that blooms twice a year. From October into winter it opens a scattering of small flowers, then blooms again, more fully, in April. The semi-double flowers are nearly white with a pink blush, and in autumn they often share the branch with reddening leaves, a rare kind of cherry scene.
