Birth flower for April 15
Apple blossom
Meaning: chosen love
Apple buds are deep pink and open into white flowers with a pink blush. The center flower of each cluster, the king bloom, opens first and usually makes the biggest apple, so growers often keep only that one. In Aomori, orchards even raise a small mason bee, the hornfaced bee, to pollinate the blossoms.
