Birth flower for December 29
Double narcissus
Meaning: self-love, rebirth
In China, the classic winter narcissus comes in two forms. The single one, white petals around a small golden cup, is called gold cup on a silver stand. The double one, whose cup splits into a frilly rosette of white and yellow, is called jade exquisite. Both carry the same rich perfume and are grown in bowls for the lunar new year.
