Birth flower for October 30
Pompon chrysanthemum
Meaning: Nobility of spirit
Ping pong mums are chrysanthemums bred for the cut flower trade, and their blooms form an almost perfect sphere, just like a table tennis ball. They last a long time in a vase, so they are favorites in bouquets. In Japan they are even turned into decorated mums shaped like panda or bear faces, with the green varieties most popular of all.
