Birth flower for August 11
Angel's trumpet
Meaning: False charm
Its huge trumpet flowers hang straight down, which is the easiest way to tell it from Datura, whose flowers point up. The scent grows strongest in the evening to attract night-flying moths. Every part is highly poisonous, and remarkably, all Brugmansia species are considered extinct in the wild, surviving only in cultivation.
