Birth flower for March 31
Nemesia
Meaning: honesty
Each flower has two lips: four small lobes fanned out on top and one broad lower lip with a raised yellow bump in the middle, a bit like a tiny face. The name was borrowed from a plant name used by the ancient Greek physician Dioscorides. Native to South Africa, it has been bred in recent years into many scented and two-toned varieties.
