Birth flower for February 24
Marguerite daisy
Meaning: Love divination
The name marguerite comes from the Greek word for pearl. It is the classic flower for plucking petals one by one while chanting loves me, loves me not, which is where its flower meaning comes from. Unlike the common lawn daisy, its stems slowly turn woody, so it grows into a small rounded shrub covered in white blooms.
