Birth flower for August 18
Plume celosia
Meaning: Elegance, kindness
The name Celosia comes from a Greek word meaning burning, and plume celosia lives up to it best: countless tiny flowers gather into pointed, feathery spikes that look like flickering flames. The plumes keep their color for a long time when dried, so they are a favorite in dried flower arrangements.
