Birth flower for March 21
Golden trumpet tree
Meaning: Gratitude
In spring the golden trumpet tree drops all its leaves, then covers its bare branches with clusters of golden trumpet flowers, so the whole tree looks like a yellow umbrella for just two or three weeks. It is the national tree of Venezuela. In Taiwan it has been planted widely along riverbanks and in parks, and its March bloom draws crowds of visitors.
